MBABANE – Eswatini’s rising musician As 4 JerryP has stepped further into the regional spotlight after meeting South African artist and producer Xowla Stallion.
The link was arranged through multi-platinum selling artist Sjava, who instructed Xowla to travel to the kingdom and connect with JerryP. This was confirmed by Upscale Entertainment Director Sibusiso Simelane, who said the move was aimed at opening more studio opportunities for the Mbabane-born star.
Xowla was in Eswatini over the weekend, performing at Zhumiao Lounge in Pigg’s Peak on Saturday before taking the stage at Scandza Bar in Siphofaneni on Sunday. It was at Scandza where he performed alongside JerryP, thrilling fans with a glimpse of what could soon grow into a cross-border collaboration.
Although no official project has been announced, both artists signaled their intention to work together. Xowla, who is signed under Nkabi Records, a label famous for developing talents such as Big Zulu, expressed excitement about linking up with JerryP.
Speaking after their performance, JerryP said the meeting gave him fresh motivation. “It was inspiring to connect with Xowla Stallion. His journey and experience at Nkabi Records motivate me to push harder and keep representing Eswatini on bigger platforms,” he said.
The encounter builds on JerryP’s steady rise in the local music industry and strengthens his prospects of breaking into the regional market.
