Mbabane – Minister of Information, Communication and Technology, Savannah Maziya, has announced the appointment of a new Eswatini Post and Telecommunications Corporation (EPTC) Board.
The announcement which happened on Monday saw the Law Society of Eswatini Secretary General, Kwanele Magagula, named as the Chairperson of the board. Magagula will lead a team of seven members drawn from both the private sector and the government.
Maziya emphasised the responsibility of the new board members which included to guide the industry towards innovation, pointing out that the traditional practice of mailing letters is fast becoming obsolete worldwide. She stressed the importance of adopting forward-looking measures that keep pace with global changes in communication technology.
Other than Magagula, the newly appointed board members are Lindiwe Dlamini, Mbali Sibanyoni who is the Managing Director of the Building Society, Sbusiso Mndzebele, Sipho Dlamini, Sakhile Dlamini representing the Ministry of ICT, Sipho Zungu and Thulisile Gamedze representing the Ministry of Finance.
