MBABANE – Customers banking with First National Bank (FNB) across the region have been advised to expect delays in cross-border payments on Sunday morning, as the bank prepares for a scheduled system maintenance.
The five-hour upgrade is set to run from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM on 27 July 2025 and will temporarily disrupt transfers of E25,000 and below between FNB Eswatini, South Africa, Lesotho, and Namibia.
These transactions, typically processed in near real-time within the Common Monetary Area (CMA), will be affected by the technical exercise. FNB has urged customers to make transfers either before or after the scheduled window to avoid disruptions.
The bank issued a notice apologising for the inconvenience and directed clients with queries to visit their nearest branch.
