Nkwene – Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla and Minister of Tinkhundla Administration and Development Sikhumbuzo Dlamini officially handed over two new homes to the Ginindza family at Nkwene on Monday, July 21, 2025.
Hloniphile Dlamini, a mother of seven who lost her husband and was left without adequate shelter after her stick-and-mud house collapsed, received a newly built two-room house with a bathroom. Her mother-in-law, Gogo Bongiwe Ginindza, who was living in a dilapidated structure, was given a completed one-room house that was initially started by a local church but stalled due to lack of funds.
The Deputy Prime Minister ordered the completion of these homes after visiting the family earlier this year. Minister Dlamini praised DPM Dladla’s commitment to the Nkwe mandate, stressing the importance of community unity and shared responsibility.
During the handover ceremony, DPM Dladla congratulated the family and thanked the local church for its contribution, urging citizens to continue supporting vulnerable community members.
The event also included the opening of two additional homes for vulnerable residents KaHleta and KaShabangu.
