The Eswatini Electricity Company (EEC) announced scheduled power interruptions on Thursday, 10 July 2025, due to routine maintenance work across several parts of the country.

Affected areas include Mahlambi, Mhlosheni Church, kaMabuza, Xaba, and Zindwendweni Eshaya under the Hluti depot; Sidvokodvoko, Tri-Cash, Luke Commission, and NPC in Manzini; and Mphosi, Macetjeni, Msabane, and Mkhuzweni serviced from the Stonehenge depot in Mbabane.

Additional locations facing outages are Kanyama near All Saints, Ngwenya Industrial Site, Africa Chicks, Ingwe Mabala Ezama, Mbowane, Scelwini, Madulini, KaMhlaba, Mweni, Bheka, Mahlalini, Dwaleni, Kalotjelwa, Madacaza, Mbabala, and Mayor, as well as Mhlabubovu MTN and surrounding areas in Malkerns.

Other impacted zones include Tinyonini, Mabhukwini, Ngwenyameni and its MTN site, Mhlabeni area, Richmond Farm near Big Bend, Gangakhulu and Nkalangeni in Piggs Peak, Mabhidzi, Kwaliweni Primary, Maphiveni MTN, Maphiveni Business Area, Nduma, and the entire Shewula area.

Maintenance works will run between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM on the day, with activities ranging from project construction to routine upkeep, including line stringing and span closures.

EEC urged the public to treat all electricity infrastructure as live and dangerous during this period to ensure safety. The company apologized for any inconvenience the outages may cause.
