LOBAMBA – Minister of Tinkhundla Administration and Development S’khumbuzo Dlamini today welcomed a delegation of visiting governance experts from Zambia, Ghana, and Kenya, ahead of the much-anticipated Eswatini Local Government Conference.
The delegation, made up of traditional leaders, academics, and lawmakers, paid a courtesy visit to the minister in Lobamba as part of preparations for the three-day conference set to begin on Wednesday, 4 June 2025, at Esibayeni Lodge in Matsapha.
Those who attended the meeting include His Royal Highness Dr. Chief Chamuka VI from Zambia; Professor Kwamena Ahwoi and Dr. Francis Adams from Ghana; Professor Ndangwa Noyoo; and Kenyan legislators Hon. Eng. Mary Magochi, Hon. Moses Muchiri, and Hon. Naomi Nyambura. Also present was His Excellency Kobla Quashie, a respected Ghanaian diplomat.
The event is expected to examine best practices in local governance and explore how Eswatini can build a unified system under the Tinkhundla model in line with Chapter 13 of the Constitution.
