LUSAKA – Eswatini’s Minister of Natural Resources and Energy, HRH Prince Lonkhokhela, joined continental leaders at the 3rd African Implementation and Partnership Conference on Water (PANAFCON-3), where urgent water and sanitation challenges facing Africa were at the centre of discussions.

The three-day event, held from 27 to 29 May 2025 in Lusaka, Zambia, was convened under the theme: “Assuring inclusive and climate resilient water security and sanitation for the Africa We Want.” The gathering brought together ministers, experts and stakeholders to align on a post-2025 vision for water security and sanitation across the continent.

Hosted by Zambia’s Ministry of Water Resources and Development, the conference offered a platform for SADC Member States to refine a joint policy framework that supports peace, development, and access to clean water and sanitation.
