MBABANE — Attorney General Sifiso Mashampu Khumalo has announced several new royal appointments by His Majesty King Mswati III to serve on important national committees and councils.
The appointments cover a range of bodies including the Border Restoration Committee, Judicial Service Commission, Commission on Human Rights and Public Administration, Royal Commission, Swaziland National Council, and the Senate.
Among those named to the Border Restoration Committee are Chief Mgebiseni Dlamini, HRH Prince Mguciso, HRH Princess Sidvumolesihle, HRH Princess Nqobile, and HRH Princess Lomathemba. Other members include Majaha Dlamini, Prince Sicelo, and Lindiwe Manana, with Bheka Mabuza appointed as secretary.
For the Judicial Service Commission, aside from the Chief Justice and Chairperson of the Civil Service Commission who serve by virtue of office, the King appointed Chakazile Dlamini, Charity Simelane, Mfanzile Elliot Dlamini, and Justice Nxumalo.
The Commission on Human Rights and Public Administration will include Commissioner Zwelethu Mnisi and Deputy Commissioners Duduzile Dlamini, Nichodemus Mashwama, Chief Dambuza Lukhele, and Dumsile Ngwenya.
The Royal Commission’s new members include Chairperson Mvuselelo Fakudze, HRH Princess Sakhizwe, Secretary Sidumo Mdladla, Sikhomba Gumbi, Nomathemba Hlophe, Kobla Qushie, and Joseph Shilubane.
Edgar Hillary was appointed to the Swaziland National Council, while Prince Kekela will join the Senate.
