VUSWENI – At least 117 residents of Vusweni in the Hhohho Region received free health screenings and education this week during a visit by the Taiwan Technical Mission under its Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) Project.
Held at the Vusweni Clinic, the outreach aimed to tackle the growing concerns around diabetes and hypertension by providing preventative care and wellness information directly to the community.

Health officials from Eswatini’s Ministry of Health also took part in the initiative, including teams from the National Cancer Control Programme and the Tuberculosis Control Programme. Their involvement added further services and expanded the scope of the outreach to cover a broader spectrum of health needs.
The event was further supported by the Taiwan–Africa Vegetable Initiative (TAVI), a partnership promoting better nutrition and healthy lifestyles through locally grown vegetables.
