EZULWINI – The second edition of the MoMo Experience was launched at MTN Headquarters on Tuesday, bringing anticipation for a family-friendly entertainment event set for 28 June 2025 at Malkerns Country Club.
Organised in partnership with Melting C Events and Destiny Music, the MoMo Experience promises a bigger stage and broader appeal, with MTN FinTech CEO Sam Shongwe, Arts and Culture Council CEO Stanley Dlamini, and other stakeholders present at the unveiling.
Culolam Dlamini of Melting C Events revealed the first phase of the artist line-up, which includes Afro-soul singer Mthunzi, Zweli Bhembe, gospel artist Nontokozo Mkhize, Ayacity Motsa, Lwazi Nzuza, Rekoder, Velemseni Ndzimandze and Khulekani Mamba. A second batch of artists will be announced in early June via social media.
Dlamini said 90 percent of the artists featured will be local, giving Eswatini talent a platform to showcase their work. He added that the event would offer a range of games and activities for all ages, staying true to its goal as a family-oriented experience.
The festival will operate on a cashless wristband system to ensure safety and convenience for patrons.
Stanley Dlamini welcomed the initiative as a positive step for youth employment through the creative sector. MTN’s Sam Shongwe also credited the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs for enabling platforms that support young people and the arts, stating that MoMo aims to empower creatives with digital tools for growth and secure transactions.
