King Mswati III officially opened the new offices of the League of African Churches at the Nkanini National Church in Lobamba on Sunday, shortly after leading the 2025 Resurrection Sunday service at Somhlolo National Stadium.
The E1.5 million structure, located in the heart of Lobamba, was unveiled in the presence of League members, traditional leaders, and church representatives. The King later toured the facility alongside church officials.
The unveiling followed a national Easter service that drew thousands of worshippers from various denominations to Somhlolo Stadium. During the service, the King declared 2025 as Eswatini’s “Year of Transformation,” urging citizens to embrace spiritual and national renewal.
The League of African Churches, a prominent Christian body in the country, has long advocated for a permanent home to coordinate its religious and community development efforts. The new offices are expected to serve as a central hub for its operations across Eswatini.
