MBABANE, April 14 — Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini met with the executive team of the Youth Chamber of Commerce and Industries – Eswatini (YCCIE) at the Private and Cabinet Office, where they presented a detailed plan to support young entrepreneurs and stimulate economic growth.
The meeting followed a compelling submission by the chamber at the recent Eswatini Investment Conference, where the group impressed government leaders with their enthusiasm and forward-thinking proposals. The Prime Minister extended an invitation for further discussions, leading to Monday’s engagement.
Describing the meeting as encouraging, Dlamini said the delegation represented a new generation of change-makers ready to contribute meaningfully to Eswatini’s development through business and innovation.
During the session, the youth leaders shared the objectives of the YCCIE and asked for the government’s support to scale their initiatives. The Prime Minister urged them to partner with key ministries and engage with relevant stakeholders to amplify their efforts and reach.
Government also plans to facilitate a connection between YCCIE and the International Chamber of Commerce, as part of broader efforts to integrate local youth into global economic platforms.
According to Dlamini, His Majesty’s Government remains committed to ensuring young people have a stake in building the country’s future.
