Eswatini welcomed high-profile international and local dignitaries today as preparations ramped up for the Third Kofi Annan Road Safety Awards. The event, set for April 14-15, 2025, at the Happy Valley Hotel in Ezulwini, aims to celebrate excellence in road safety and sustainable transport.
Among the distinguished guests arriving in the Kingdom was H.E. Antonio M.A. Pedro, the Deputy Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA). He was greeted by the Honourable Minister of Public Works and Transport, Chief Ndlaluhlaza Ndwandwe, during a courtesy meeting at the Royal Villas in Ezulwini.
Also in attendance were Mr. George Wachira, UN Resident Coordinator in Eswatini; Mr. Thulani Mkhaliphi, Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport; and Dr. Fortunate Shabalala, Chairperson of the Eswatini Road Safety Council.
