Mbabane: TIBIYO TakaNgwane Managing Director Dr Absalom Themba Dlamini turns 70 today, December 1.

The former Prime Minister was born on December 1, 1950. Celebrations for the MD’s birthday are slated for today at his other home at Sidvokodvo, also in the Manzini region.

Sources close to the MD said only selected people will be present including high ranking officials in various arenas of corporations, including the political departments.

Asked why the celebrations were not shifted to the weekend where invited guests would not be hindered to attend due to work the source said in fact, today, December 1 is perfect considering that few people would help in adhering to the government’s Covid-19 regulations where a lot of people in one place are not allowed.

On October 16, 2008, he was succeeded by former Prime Minister Barnabas Sibusiso Dlamini.
