Mnd3nii turns life experiences into music
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

MBABANE – Driven by a passion for music and a determination to tell his own story, 25-year-old Mndeni Khumalo, popularly known as Mnd3nii, is steadily building his name in Eswatini’s music industry through a blend of Hip Hop and Afro Pop.

Hailing from Ngculwini, on the outskirts of Manzini, Mnd3nii’s musical journey began in 2016 when he joined forces with his friend and producer, Mangie Ritchie, to pursue a shared dream.

Inspired by his upbringing and the realities of the community around him, the young artist found music to be a platform through which he could express his experiences, ambitions and personal growth.

Although he draws inspiration from established artists such as Emtee, Mnqobi Yazo and Nomfundo Moh, Mnd3nii continues to develop a sound that reflects his own identity and musical direction.

His commitment to growing as an artist has also seen him acquire personal recording equipment, allowing him to produce his own beats and experiment with different sounds. He frequently features his friend Young Ink in his musical projects.

Over the years, Mnd3nii has continued to sharpen his skills as both a vocalist and producer. His journey has included collaborations with LTME Studio and work with Tus at Emadlelweni Records, experiences that have contributed to his development as an independent creative.

Mnd3nii is now preparing to introduce listeners to his upcoming single, Thilili, a project he describes as reflecting two important aspects of his journey: love and growth.

Currently being produced at Emadlelweni Records, the song is expected to feature MaDee, with Mahlubi Hits Beats behind its instrumental production.

Although the official release date has not yet been announced, the project represents another step in Mnd3nii’s efforts to expand his musical catalogue and connect with listeners through relatable themes.

The upcoming release follows Winner, his previous collaboration with Ndakes, which offered audiences a glimpse of his musical abilities.

Once released, Thilili will be available on YouTube and other major music streaming platforms.

While continuing to develop his sound, Mnd3nii has his sights set on collaborating with more established names in Eswatini’s music industry. Among the artists he hopes to work with in the future is Histo.

Beyond his personal ambitions, the young musician also hopes to encourage aspiring artists who are working towards making their own mark in the industry.

His advice to those pursuing their dreams is rooted in patience, persistence and belief in their abilities.

“Take time and never give up. Nothing is impossible,” he said.

For bookings and collaborations, Mnd3nii can be contacted via email at mndenikhumalo@gmail.com or by phone on +268 7648 9761 or 7907 4264.

He can also be followed on Facebook under Mndeni Wakasi Khumalo and on TikTok as mnd3nii wakokasi.
