MBABANE – The wait is finally over as South African Amapiano vocalist MaWhoo, popularly known as The RichMonalisa, is set to take over Mdzimba View Shisanyama tonight, Friday, October 2, for an evening of live music and entertainment.
The highly anticipated event will see the award-winning vocalist share the stage with some of Eswatini’s local entertainment favourites, creating a cross-border celebration of South African and Swazi talent.
“The wait is over! The one and only MAWHOO (THE RICHMONALISA) is officially CONFIRMED for this Friday, 2 October, at Mdzimba View Shisanyama!” organisers announced as they urged fans to gather their friends and prepare for the experience.
MaWhoo, whose real name is Thandeka Nontobeko Ngema passion for music began at an early age. She gained wider recognition with her 2019 single “Umshado” featuring Heavy-K, before establishing herself further within the Amapiano scene through collaborations with artists including DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small, Master KG and Vigro Deep.
Her catalogue includes projects such as What a Time to Be Alive, The Chosen, The Sound of Magic and Amazwi Okubonga. Her 2025 collaboration “Bengicela” also became a major charting success, according to reports.
Tonight, she will be supported by a strong local line-up featuring Zulu D, Young Zesh, Sgitha, Gifted Kosie, President, N Kay & Smally, Maradona, Baybash, Virus and Dualforce, alongside resident DJs.
The event will run from 4pm until 3am, giving partygoers a full night of music and entertainment.
Tickets are available through MojaTicket, with general pre-sale tickets going for E100, VIP pre-sale E300 and VVIP pre-sale E500. General tickets at the gate will cost E200, while gate VIP tickets are E400.
The dress code is smart casual, with organisers encouraging attendees to “dress to impress” as they experience MaWhoo live.
