HLATHIKHULU— The ever-evolving Eswatini music industry continues to unveil promising talent, and among the latest acts making an impact is the dynamic duo, Combo YeNigga ne Nkabi. Hailing from Hlathikhulu, Mjiza, the group is made up of Siyabonga Ndlangamandla, popularly known as Usinini (Nkabi), and Lethukuthula Dludlu, better known as LT Boy (Nigga).
The duo has recently released their latest single, Emlanjeni, a touching song that is already capturing the attention of music lovers with its emotional storytelling and unique sound. The title, which translates to “River,” tells the story of a lover who patiently waits by the river to meet their partner, only for that person to never arrive. The song explores themes of heartbreak, disappointment, and longing, making it relatable to listeners who have experienced similar emotions.
The name Combo YeNigga ne Nkabi reflects the pair’s distinct musical identity. LT Boy brings a Hip-Hop influence inspired by American music culture, while Nkabi contributes a deep African cultural essence. Together, they create a fusion of sounds that bridges different musical worlds and appeals to a diverse audience.
According to the duo, their journey into entertainment was inspired by Eswatini comedians who have successfully built a name for themselves across Africa. Motivated by their achievements, the pair decided to pursue music and showcase local talent on a wider platform.
Written by Usinini, also known as Siantor Siwela, Emlanjeni draws inspiration from a real-life childhood experience. Through the song, he shares memories of waiting for someone who never arrived, transforming personal pain into a moving musical narrative.
The single features collaborations with talented artists MK Loongsta, Hlanti Mayne, Fraize, and BlaqJ. Production was handled by Hlanti Mayne, while TNS Savvy delivered the final mastering, resulting in a polished and captivating record.
Looking ahead, Combo YeNigga ne Nkabi have revealed plans to collaborate with South African rap star Usimamane in the future. They are also working on the official Emlanjeni music video and preparing a collaborative project featuring influential Eswatini artists, including Cate Officixl.
