Mbabane – The Mohammed VI Foundation of Africa, working through OVLemca Eswatini, has entered into a partnership with the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office to provide decent housing and basic support to vulnerable citizens in the Kingdom.

The partnership was launched at the offices of the Deputy Prime Minister, where the Foundation announced that construction of two houses will begin this month. Alongside the housing project, the organisation committed to supplying food, blankets and other essential items aimed at improving the living conditions of beneficiaries.

According to Sayeed Sifiso Dlamini, the first house will be built at Mdzimba for a young man whose stick and mud structure collapsed following recent heavy rains. The second house is set to be constructed at Lubulini for an elderly resident identified as being in need of safe accommodation.

The Mohammed VI Foundation of Africa is headquartered in Morocco and operates through 48 branches across the continent. Its work focuses on social welfare, peace building and inter religious cooperation, with increased activity during the month of Ramadan when it rolls out charity initiatives in various African communities.

“If we are united and respect all religions, we can achieve so much. Thank you for identifying and changing the lives of vulnerable people in our communities. I have heard that the Muslim community is distributing meat to certain communities sharing, caring and creating unity. My Office will officially open both houses once completed,” said the Acting Prime Minister.
