Mbabane – The Ministry of Labour and Social Security has confirmed that student allowances for November 2025 have been disbursed as of 2nd December 2025 to those studying at local tertiary institutions under the Government Scholarship Programme. The Ministry noted that payments for any outstanding allowances for both continuing and first-year students are still being processed.
Officials cautioned that intermittent network outages reported on 30th October 2025 are still affecting key services, including the processing of student allowances.
The Ministry also announced that the deadline for online applications for tertiary institutions in the SADC region, including South Africa and Namibia, as well as for students admitted to the University of Eswatini Mbabane Campus, has been extended to 12th December 2025. The extension is due to the ongoing network challenges affecting the scholarship online application system.
Students are advised to submit applications through the official website at http://slas.gov.sz. The Ministry is working alongside the Ministry of Information Communication and Technology to resolve the technical issues.
The announcement was signed by S.M. Mndawe, Principal Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Social Security, on 5th December 2025.
