Mbabane – Moneni Pirates have officially opened applications for a new head coach after the shock resignation of coach Meck Mwase and his assistant Charles Manda, with CEO Brian Dlamini confirming that the club has begun the search and “will make an announcement once we have the new coach.”
Dlamini told reporters during a live briefing yesterday that management had already started receiving interest from various candidates and would only appoint a coach who meets the required qualifications. He added indirectly that the club would not rush the process, insisting that stability was more important than speed.
Mwase resigned due to family matters in Malawi, a decision that Dlamini said the club accepted with sadness. “It is unfortunate because the team had started showing some positive displays,” he said, noting indirectly that the departure came at a critical point in the season.
Dlamini reiterated that once the right candidate is identified, the club will communicate formally.
