Johannesburg – President of African Beauty International, Bokang Montjane Tshabalala, has officially announced that her organisation has been appointed as the national directors of Miss Universe South Africa, ahead of the beauty pageant to be held in Thailand in November.
In her statement, Shabalala who was Miss South Africa 2010 expressed excitement and pride over the new role.
“Hi everyone. My name is Bokang Montjane Shabalala, the president of African Beauty International, and I would like to announce that we have been appointed as the national directors of Miss Universe South Africa. Therefore, South Africa will be represented beautifully at this year’s Miss Universe in Thailand. Please continue to take this journey with us as we continue to empower young women and also continue to redefine beauty,” she said.
The appointment marks a significant milestone for both Shabalala and African Beauty International as they prepare to lead the country’s participation in one of the world’s most prestigious beauty competitions.
Bokang Montjane is South African model and beauty pageant titleholder. Post her crowning as Miss South Africa, she represented her country in Miss Universe 2011 and Miss World 2011.
She was named Miss World Africa at Miss World 2011. Additionally, she is the National Director for the Miss Universe South Africa and Miss Supranational South Africa.
This development means that African Beauty International will now oversee the selection and preparation of South Africa’s representative for the Miss Universe 2025 pageant.
As preparations get underway, Shabalala called on South Africans to continue supporting the journey, emphasizing her commitment to empowering young women and showcasing authentic African beauty on the global stage.
