MBABANE – Rising creative Dablxck Sherpad has released his latest offering titled Nayi le walk freestyle, featuring emerging talent Lobayeni. The track, now available on YouTube, is produced by Boikid under Final Episodes Records.
Inspired by the previously trending phrase “Nayi le walk,” Dablxck Sherpad revealed that the familiar title was a strategic marketing decision.
“I felt like it would be a good way of marketing the song since people are already familiar with the name,” he explained, adding that he wanted to ride on the momentum of the catchy expression while giving it a fresh spin.
The freestyle draws heavy inspiration from the South African underground music wave, a sound pioneered by creatives such as Brotherkupa and Jaykatana. Known for its raw delivery, experimental beats, and street-rooted authenticity, the genre continues to influence young artists across the region.
In Nayi le Walk Freestyle, both artists deliver bold and unapologetic verses centered around individuality and self-worth. Dablxck Sherpad uses his verse to assert dominance and confidence in his craft.
“In this song, each artist talks about how he or she moves, since we’re moving differently,” he said. “I was more on letting people know that I charge for collaborations and that I see no competition.”
On the other hand, Lobayeni steps up with a strong female perspective, representing women who are clear about their standards and ambitions. Her verse boldly states that women want financial security and respect, adding a vibrant and assertive energy to the track.
According to Dablxck Sherpad, one of the main intentions behind the collaboration was to introduce Lobayeni into the music industry.
“My intention was to introduce Lobayeni into the music scene. I felt like we needed something short, vibey and simple, a song where she would be able to show her capabilities and potential.”
The freestyle serves as a strategic launchpad for Lobayeni, positioning her as a confident voice with promising potential in the ever-evolving music landscape.
Dablxck Sherpad expressed gratitude to supporters who continue to back his journey.
“I appreciate the love and support. With you all, I’m nothing. I can see the love and it gives me more power to keep going and doing better than my previous work,” he said, hinting that more music is on the way.
With its catchy title, underground influence, and bold messaging, Nayi le Walk Freestyle signals a new chapter for both artists, one rooted in confidence, collaboration, and calculated creativity.
