Soweto – Orlando Pirates forward Relebohile Mofokeng missed the Betway Premiership match against Orbit College FC due to a medical issue, not a transfer, coach Abdeslam Ouaddou said.
The 1-0 win at Orlando Stadium sparked speculation of a move to Major Soccer League side Minnesota United, who reportedly made a second bid for the player. Ouaddou confirmed the club’s medical team advised against his participation. “We still didn’t have any feedback on the exam he should do. I hope it’s nothing serious because we need him,” he said.
The Buccaneers struggled to dominate the match, relying on a stunning goal from defender Lebone Seema. Ouaddou criticised the first-half performance, noting the team lost many balls and lacked control against a strong opponent.
