Miss Cultural Heritage Eswatini, Gcinizwi Tsikati, marked her 21st birthday yesterday by spending time with children living with autism at the Autism Centre in Fairview, Manzini.
Tsikati shared her interest in autism, explaining that her awareness began after watching the TV series The Good Doctor. “I learned about the different types of autism and how those affected live in their own ‘glass world’, facing communication challenges,” she told Eswatini Positive News.
During her visit, Tsikati also took the opportunity to teach the children about Eswatini’s culture, a cause close to her heart. As the reigning queen, crowned at the Mlawula Camp Fire Festival last October, Tsikati continues to promote the importance of preserving and sharing Eswatini’s cultural heritage.
