MANZINI – Young people with a passion for baking are set to benefit from a free business plan training programme aimed at equipping them with the skills needed to establish and grow successful baking enterprises.
The initiative, organised by Cake Baking Eswatini in partnership with the Youth Enterprise Revolving Fund (YERF), will take place on Tuesday, 28 July 2026, at the Liberty Community Centre in Manzini, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The training follows the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two organisations, which seeks to empower aspiring and existing bakers through entrepreneurship training, business development support and improved access to funding opportunities.
According to the organisers, the programme is designed to help participants develop professional business plans that meet loan application requirements, enabling them to access YERF funding to either start or expand their baking businesses.
Cake Baking Eswatini said the partnership represents a significant step towards creating sustainable opportunities for young entrepreneurs in the baking industry.
“We are proud to be part of a partnership that is transforming lives and creating opportunities for young entrepreneurs. We believe every talented baker deserves the opportunity to turn their passion into a successful business, and this collaboration is helping make that vision a reality,” the organisation said.
The training is open to young people aged 18 to 35, including those already operating baking businesses, aspiring entrepreneurs and individuals interested in pursuing baking professionally.
Participants will receive practical guidance on developing professional business plans, preparing business cash flow projections and financial plans, understanding youth loan requirements and application procedures, as well as strategies for building and growing successful baking businesses. They will also be introduced to additional business support programmes available through the partnership between Cake Baking Eswatini and YERF.
Organisers say the programme is more than just a training session, describing it as an opportunity for young people to gain the knowledge, confidence and support required to build sustainable businesses and contribute to Eswatini’s growing entrepreneurial landscape.
The training is free of charge, and interested participants can register or obtain more information by contacting 7637 4236 or 7606 4002.
