MBABANE – A new platform dedicated to nurturing Eswatini’s creative talent is set to make its debut next month as renowned DJ and music curator DJ Lingan3ss, born Samkeliso Malinga, launches Mbabane Music Summit on August 1, 2026, at 23:28 Lounge in Mbabane’s Checkers Business Park.

Curated and organised by DJ Lingan3ss under Soulful Sounds, the summit is more than just another entertainment event. It is a vision aimed at connecting, empowering and showcasing the city’s growing pool of DJs, producers, vocalists and creative entrepreneurs while strengthening Mbabane’s reputation as a thriving entertainment hub.

The event will feature live performances, networking opportunities, industry discussions and audience engagement activities, creating an environment where emerging talent can learn from experienced professionals while building valuable industry connections.

Among the local artists set to perform are Blackmosses, Blackace, Skyloe, Quan, J. Khulu and Bab’Dlamini, with organisers promising an exciting showcase of some of Mbabane’s finest musical talent.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the initiative, DJ Lingan3ss said the dream was born out of the need to create opportunities for hardworking creatives who consistently produce quality work but often lack platforms to showcase their talent.

“The idea is to give hope and courage to artists who are putting in the work but are still waiting for their breakthrough. We want them to experience what a professional music industry environment feels like while building meaningful relationships that can help advance their careers,” he said.

The summit is expected to attract music lovers, artists and industry stakeholders from across the country, providing a space where creativity and collaboration can flourish.

Its objectives include promoting the growth of local DJs, producers and vocalists, providing professional industry exposure for emerging artists, strengthening the local music ecosystem and positioning Mbabane as one of the country’s leading centres for entertainment and creative innovation.

Adding a touch of fashion to the occasion, organisers have also introduced a Best Dressed competition, with a special prize set to be awarded to the attendee with the most outstanding outfit on the day.

Pre-sale tickets are available for E50 at Image Designs, located adjacent to 23:28 Lounge. Music lovers, creatives and aspiring artists are encouraged to secure their tickets early for what promises to be the beginning of a movement celebrating Mbabane’s vibrant creative culture while opening doors for the next generation of local talent.
