MBABANE – Eswatini has stepped up efforts to grow exports and attract investment after participating in two trade events in Taiwan that connected local businesses with international buyers and investors.

The Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA), working with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Eswatini in Taiwan, took part in the 2026 Africa Forum on June 23 and the Food Taipei 2026 exhibition from June 24 to 27.

The Africa Forum, organised by the Taiwan-Africa Business Association (TABA), brought together businesses and investors to explore trade and investment opportunities across the African continent.

During the forum, Eswatini promoted its investment opportunities while engaging Taiwanese businesses to explore potential commercial partnerships and investment prospects.

The country’s participation continued at Food Taipei 2026, one of Asia’s leading international food exhibitions, where local exporters displayed a range of products to buyers from Taiwan and other international markets.

The exhibition was facilitated by EIPA in partnership with the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and provided participating companies with an opportunity to introduce their products to new markets, establish business relationships and explore export opportunities across Asia.

Among the companies representing Eswatini were Lubombo Eco Products, Royal Eswatini Sugar Corporation, Black Mamba, Lujilo Honey, Simunye Beverages, Swati Secrets, Smiling Through Farming and Elangeni Macadamia.

The participation formed part of Eswatini’s ongoing efforts to increase exports, attract foreign investment and create market opportunities for local businesses.

EIPA said the engagements highlighted the country’s commitment to expanding its international trade footprint while supporting local producers in accessing global markets.

The authority also thanked its partners and participating companies for contributing to Eswatini’s presence at the two events, saying their participation continues to promote the country’s products and investment opportunities on the international stage.
