Mbabane: Former Manzini North Member of Parliament, the founder and President of the Swaziland Democratic Party (SWADEPA) Jan Sithole has died.

The sad news were confirmed by SWADEPA’s Spokesperson Mbongseni Shabangu on Saturday morning. “We confirm that our President died on Friday morning” said the Spokesperson.

People’s United Democratic Movement (PUDEMO) Secretary General Wandile Dludlu passed his condolences to the Sithole family, colleagues and friends. Dludlu said as PUDEMO they were with no doubt extremely saddened by the passing of Sithole as they have worked with him for a very long time. Dludlu mentioned that as PUDEMO they know Sithole more than anyone else as they came a long way with him, from the establishment of SFTU which was never a walk in a park kind of a task. He said Sithole knew the pain and trouble of establishment of the labour Union.

Dludlu said what hurt the most is that they knew Sithole was sick for quite some time but they were receiving reports that he is recovering but now he is gone. He said they were hoping to have him back to health and soldier on.
