Ndzevane residents and pupils from nine local schools will have access to free specialised medical and dental services this week, thanks to the Rotary Medical and Dental Outreach. The programme was launched today by Minister for Health Mduduzi Matsebula at Ndzevane Refugee Camp in the Lubombo region.
The initiative, a partnership between the Ministry of Health and the Mbabane Rotary Club with support from World Vision and other organisations, will run from 17 to 20 March. Specialist doctors from public and private health facilities across Eswatini, as well as emaSwati doctors practising in South Africa, are providing services at no cost.
Available care includes dental check-ups, gynecology, eye examinations, kidney disease consultations, paediatric and neurological services. Community members are also encouraged to access mental health support, child immunisations, and screenings for various illnesses.
Minister Matsebula urged local schools, parents, guardians, and the wider community to take advantage of the services, noting that they offer access to highly skilled health professionals that are normally difficult to afford.
