The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, represented by Principal Secretary Sibusiso Nkambule, joined Kunihiko Okada, Chief Representative of the JICA South Africa Office, for the official launch of Japan’s Third Grant Aid Project supporting education in Eswatini. The event served as a consultative committee meeting for Japan’s Grant Aid for the Economic and Social Development Programme for the Kingdom.
Principal Secretary Nkambule stated that the government is committed to promoting the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities in line with national policies and international obligations. He noted that the initiative will remove barriers by helping learners with disabilities travel safely to school, improving access to essential services, and easing mobility challenges for families.
Okada added that the partnership between the government and JICA will strengthen secondary school infrastructure across the four regions and support inclusive education, including better access for learners with disabilities.
