PRETORIA– BAIC Automobile SA joined celebrations for the Chinese New Year at the China-Africa People-to-People Exchange Year event in Pretoria, South Africa, last week. The gathering brought together key figures, including His Excellency Wu Peng, Chinese Ambassador to South Africa, and Ms Nomalungelo Gina, Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation.
At the event, BAIC displayed its expanding SUV lineup, featuring the locally assembled BAIC B30 from the Coega facility in Gqeberha. The showcase demonstrated the brand’s focus on localisation, job creation, and industrial collaboration between China and South Africa.
BAIC vehicles are expected to launch soon in the Kingdom of Eswatini through the Autofin dealership in Mbabane, which currently distributes KIA and Ford models.
