MANZINI – After the success of his Siyabonga Gogo Remix, Umgidvo artist Sancheziey is preparing to release a new single, “Khula Ngendlela Yakho,” a cultural Afro-pop birthday anthem set for the last week of February.
The announcement follows a promise made to fans that once Siyabonga Gogo Remix reached 100,000 views, he would deliver something special. “Have you ever imagined a cultural happy birthday song? Inspired by happiness in people’s eyes everytime it’s their birthday, so i thought would be nice to see how best the Swati way can one celebrate his or her birthday,” Sancheziey said.
The track aims to offer a Swati alternative to conventional birthday tunes. “Everyday is someone’s birthday, and not to sound otherwise but it’s been awkward for every man I’ve seen to sing Happy birthday. This new song is bringing swati culture in the appreciating of life in the Swatini. Khula is set to be on everyone’s playlist especially on their birthdays. At the same time gives an angle of considering the little ones and I’m already seeing emaSwati posting their babies with the song,” he added.

Recorded at Emadlelweni Music and mixed and mastered by Sancheziey, the song blends cultural chants, Afro-pop rhythms, and Umgidvo influences. Sancheziey drew inspiration from traditional Swati practices such as the Incwala Ceremony and Lusekwane.
A snippet of Khula Ngendlela Yakho will be released on TikTok and other social media platforms this Friday, inviting fans to engage with the track ahead of its full release.
Sancheziey describes the song as a way to usher in a new era of celebrating birthdays in Eswatini. “Would love to invite emaSwati into the new era of celebrating our friends, ourselves, and families’ birthday the Swati way. I plead them to check it out soon from Friday since the snippet for it will be released on Tiktok and other social media platforms for them to use it.”
