Mbabane: Eswatini International and Mbombela United striker Sabelo Sikhali Ndzinisa is reportedly facing two years ban from professional football. I has been reported that the former Mbabane Swallows striker allegedly registered for TS Sporting and Mbombela United in 2019/20 season.

According to Kickoff Mbombela United have been docked 23 points and relegated to the ABC Motsepe League have been explained in full by the club that lodged the protest. Sporting ended the GladAfrica Championship season in 15th place following the conclusion of the season on Sunday but it now appears they will remain in the NFD next season.

As reported by KickOff.com on August 20, the NFD relegation battle was set to be decided in the boardroom, and an arbitration sitting heard Sporting’s protest on Sunday.

According to reports, a decision was made to dock 23 points from Mbombela and ban Sabelo Ndzinisa for two years. The PSL has not yet officially announced a verdict in the case.

The Eswatini international striker apparently signed a contract with Sporting before playing all season for Mbombela United.

TS Sporting chairman Slungu Thobela, who also has a law firm called Thobela Attorneys, says all he knows is that his team will not be playing ABC Motsepe League football next season.

“We are done playing in the ABC Motsepe League. We are fighting for premier league promotion now,”

“It’s a difficult one, but one of those teams above us, tough luck. That team used a player that has signed with TS Sporting, they backdated the contract… so they’ve committed a fraud.

“The case is with the PSL, we are just waiting for a judgment. They signed him in June but they are allegedly saying they have signed him in January. There’s no evidence that they have signed him in January.

“What makes matters worse is that when we asked the concerned player to produce a passport, he used to come here to South Africa, he says he came to South Africa illegally… so they signed an illegal immigrant.

“You know what the law says, you cannot be an illegal immigrant and sign a legal contract. No ways. That will happen maybe after my death, not when I’m still alive. Especially when it comes to matters that relates to TS Sporting.

Efforts for this publication to reach Mbombela United Manager Bra Sam for comments were futile as his phone rang unanswered.
