Mbabane – Stefanutti Stocks Eswatini (SSE) has contributed E100,000 to the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office to support the Back-to-School Campaign. The funds will provide school shoes and dignitary towels for girls from Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVCs) households.
Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla received the donation and said the support would help address basic but pressing needs that often keep vulnerable learners from attending school with dignity.
“We are faced with a huge problem of a future contaminated generation, which needs us to work towards redeeming the vulnerable children. This donation will go a long way towards assisting our children, building them to be better leaders tomorrow, and replacing us in years to come,” Dladla said.
She added that her office was planning to establish a project in Matsapha to cater for young children who are locked inside houses during the day while their parents are at work.
Speaking on behalf of SSE, Dr Thandiswa Hlatjwako said the company viewed the Back-to-School Campaign as an investment in children whose potential should not be limited by a lack of basic supplies.
“It is our belief that no child’s potential should be constrained by lack of supply, including uniforms and fees. When the Back-to-School Campaign was initiated, we viewed it not merely as financial assistance but as a strategic opportunity to invest in the next generation of future engineers, medical professionals, and leaders,” she said.
Dr Hlatjwako also commended the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office for supporting OVCs, saying the intervention offers hope and opportunity to children who need it most.
