Nsingizini Hotspurs secured E120,000 after a 1–0 win over Rangers FC in a crucial MTN Premier League clash at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium, also claiming local bragging rights.
The match was decided in the first half when midfielder Yeki Khumalo calmly finished off a well-constructed move, giving Hotspurs an early lead. From the start, the Shiselweni side dominated, controlling play and limiting Rangers’ opportunities before halftime.
Rangers tried to fight back after the break, but Hotspurs’ disciplined defence held firm, frustrating their opponents and protecting the slim advantage until the final whistle.
The victory gives Hotspurs a financial boost and momentum as they prepare for their final league fixture against Mbabane Swallows at the same venue.
