Mbabane – Hip hop artist As 4 JerryP has released a new single titled Inkhanyeti, a collaboration with award winning rapper and Afrobeats performer Lyrikal Busta. The track was launched today under Upscale Live and forms part of JerryP’s upcoming album Libhungu Lemhlolo.
The collaboration brings together two prominent voices in Eswatini’s contemporary music scene. JerryP, who has been rising steadily since the release of Mlentengamunye whose video cost more than E28 000 to produce, said the new single represents an important stage in his artistic journey. He shared his thoughts during an interview with the Times of Eswatini, where he spoke about the cultural meaning woven into the song.
Lyrikal Busta, known for his performances at major stages such as MTN Bushfire Festival and the SATMA Awards, adds an experienced layer to the record. His contribution is viewed by many fans as a strong show of support for JerryP’s growing influence.
JerryP explained that the song explores themes linked to identity, confidence and cultural heritage. Inkhanyeti, which draws inspiration from the Inkhanyeti regiment, reflects the significance of kubutseka, the rite of passage for young liSwati men. The artist said it is the second single from Libhungu Lemhlolo following the earlier release of Mlentengamunye.
The track was produced by SeimeStones DPR in Siteki and mixed and mastered by Sean The Chancer. The visualiser was created by Direktor Kwenu of Motion Skies Pictures. The project lists Phumlani S Dlamini and Thandolwethu M Masuku as its writers, while distribution is handled by The Orchard Music.
JerryP described working with Lyrikal Busta as a long held aspiration. He said the collaboration brought inspiration and ease to the studio environment as he prepared the record for release.
Beyond its cultural references, Inkhanyeti serves as a motivational anthem and carries elements of Afro Fusion, hip hop and Swati musical styles. The message centres on purpose, resilience and the belief that every person carries their own star meant to shine. The single aligns with the wider themes that shape Libhungu Lemhlolo, which explores destiny, spirituality and personal growth.
