Liverpool have omitted Mohamed Salah from their squad for Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League match away at Inter Milan. Reports from UK media including David Ornstein and Amazon Prime confirm Salah will not feature in the game.
The decision follows a fiery interview Salah gave on Saturday after Liverpool’s 3-3 draw at Leeds. In the interview, the Egyptian forward questioned his relationship with Liverpool manager Arne Slot, raised doubts about his future at the club, and criticised Liverpool for sidelining him, noting he has been an unused substitute in the last three games.
Salah was pictured training with the team on Monday ahead of the trip to Milan. Liverpool manager Arne Slot is scheduled to speak to the media in Milan at 1:45pm ET on Monday, where questions about Salah’s status and future at the club are expected.
