Mbabane – Minister of Natural Resources and Energy, His Royal Highness Prince Lonkhokhela, paid a courtesy visit to the High Commissioner of India to Eswatini, Shri N. Ram Prasad, as part of ongoing diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
The meeting followed the the minister’s recent visit to India, where he attended the International Solar Alliance and took part in a benchmarking exercise focused on the e-mobility sector. During the visit, he briefed the High Commissioner on insights gained, particularly in renewable energy and sustainable transport.
During the visit Prince Lonkhokhela highlighted India’s progress in solar power, clean energy technologies and electric transport systems, saying these developments provided useful lessons for Eswatini as it works to diversify its energy mix and strengthen energy security.
The High Commissioner welcomed the feedback given by the minister and reaffirmed India’s commitment to supporting Eswatini’s energy development. He commended the country’s interest in renewable solutions and noted the strong cooperation already shared by the two nations.
Both parties expressed optimism that the collaboration will create opportunities for capacity building, investment and technological exchange, especially in areas linked to sustainable development and economic resilience.
