Ezulwini – The Ministry of Public Works and Transport has officially appointed members of the Road Safety Council of Eswatini, a move aimed at strengthening national efforts to reduce road accidents. The announcement was made today by Minister Chief Ndlaluhlaza Ndwandwe at the Royal Villas.
The council will begin its work immediately, focusing on early road safety planning, engaging key stakeholders, and promoting safety advocacy across the country.
Minister Ndwandwe introduced the council members as follows: Dr Fortunate Shabalala as Chairperson, Masuku Muziwethu as Deputy Chairperson, and Dlamini Tsatsakahke, Dr Masitsela Mhlanga, Dlamini Dumisa, Mkhabela Sipho, Simelane Bonginkhosi, Dlamini Lucky, Swali Vusi, Kelly Williams, and Nkambule Nontethelelo as members. Matsebula Mduduzi was also appointed, with Zwane Mncedisi serving as Secretary.
The Ministry said the newly operational council will coordinate a unified approach to improving road safety and protecting all road users throughout Eswatini.
