Mbabane: Eswatini Sport and Recreation Council (ESRC) Business and Development Manager Zama Tsabedze has revealed that he is responding well after he tested positive to Covid-19 two weeks ago.

Tsabedze said he was at home and all seemed well. The revelation that the manager had tested positive to the virus led to the closure of the ESRC’s  offices as the mandatory precautionary measure which were later fumigated by health officials.

Tsabedze is still in self-isolation at his home. “I am feeling much better now and thanks for checking,” said Tsabedze. Following the discovery, 14 other employees of the Council took separate individual tests before being advised to stay in self-isolation until their results were released, which until now have not been accessed.

In March, the Eswatini Sports and Recreation Council (ESRC) suspended all international trips for sporting codes in an effort to prevent the spread of the infamous coronavirus. The message was relayed by Tsabedze through a press statement. Tsabedze said this was all for the safety of the Council’s employees.
