Johannesburg is set to welcome Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Asake for his South African debut on Saturday, 3 January 2026 at The Goldrush Dome. The concert is part of AfroFuture’s new live experience platform, Curated By Culture, which aims to expand the celebration of African music and creativity across the continent with intimate, high-impact performances.
Asake will bring his signature fusion of Afrobeats and Amapiano to the stage, performing global hits such as “Lonely at the Top” and “Organise.” Fans can expect world-class visuals, high-energy choreography, and the full AfroFuture production experience. Tickets will be available exclusively on Quicket.
Abdul Karim Abdullah, CEO and co-founder of AfroFuture, said, “South Africa has long been a heartbeat of global music and creativity; its sound, its energy, and its people have influenced culture far beyond its borders. With Curated By Culture, our goal is to create experiences that honour these cultural powerhouses across Africa. Launching in Johannesburg with Asake felt like the perfect way to set the tone: bold, unapologetic, and deeply rooted in Africa’s rhythm.”
Asake, who burst onto the music scene in 2020, is signed to YBNL Nation. His debut album, “Mr. Money with the Vibe” (2022), and follow-up “Work of Art” (2023) have cemented his status as one of Africa’s most dynamic musical exports, known for energetic vocals and blending street authenticity with international appeal.
The Johannesburg concert is the first of several live experiences planned under Curated By Culture, following Asake’s headlining appearance at the AfroFuture Festival in Ghana.
