Nhlangano – The Nhlangano Industrial Skills Training Centre marked a historic milestone on Friday as it hosted its first-ever graduation ceremony since its inception over three decades ago.

For the first time since opening in 1994, the centre celebrated the achievements of 198 graduates from two cohorts: the Class of 2023/2024 and 2024/2025. These graduates completed accredited programmes in fields such as Agriculture, Carpentry, Motor Mechanics, Plumbing, Electrical, and Metal Work, earning formal qualifications in their respective trades.

The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Teaching Service Commission (TSC), Dr. Amos Mahlalela, who commended the centre’s efforts in providing quality vocational training. He described the event as a significant achievement for both the centre and its students, bringing much-needed recognition to the institution’s work over the years.

Dr. Mahlalela highlighted that the newly certified graduates are now equipped with the skills that are in demand across various sectors, both in government and the private industry. He encouraged them to take pride in their accomplishments and to serve as ambassadors of the centre’s values in their future careers.
