Mbabane – Eswatini rising star Thaifo Son is expanding his musical reach with two new tracks alongside South African afro-pop artist Aubrey Qwana, while also collaborating with local hitmaker Young Zesh.
Thaifo Son, known for his breakout hit ‘Badede’ featuring Qwana, Cool Drop, Mr Kangaroo, and Dream King, has been gaining recognition across Southern Africa. He said the partnership with Qwana came naturally after the South African artist invited him to Midrand for studio sessions. “Aubrey is my brother, so working with him is always an educational experience,” Thaifo Son shared.
The upcoming songs with Qwana include ‘Overload’, which showcases Thaifo Son’s versatility and ability to blend with Qwana’s afro-pop style. The collaboration builds on the success of ‘Badede’, which performed strongly on digital platforms and expanded Thaifo Son’s regional audience.
At the same time, Thaifo Son has been working with Young Zesh to strengthen his connection with Eswatini fans. He described the collaboration as a way to spotlight local talent and reconnect with his home audience.
Through these cross-border and local projects, Thaifo Son is positioning himself as one of Eswatini’s most promising musical talents, with fans eagerly anticipating the new releases.
