Matsapha – His Majesty’s Correctional Services has partnered with the Eswatini Football Association to offer professional refereeing training for correctional officers and inmates.
The five-day workshop, taking place at the Correctional Staff College, was officially launched by Deputy Commissioner General Bongani Khumalo on behalf of Commissioner General LaMakhosini Phindile Dlamini. Senior officials including Chief Assistant Commissioner Kenneth Nhlengethwa attended the opening alongside EFA technical staff facilitating the programme.
The initiative aims to use sport as a tool for rehabilitation and reintegration, giving participants practical skills in football officiating while fostering discipline and teamwork. The workshop is set to conclude on Friday.
