Sikhuphe – Eswatini Air has notified travellers that it will stop accepting hard cash for bookings and other services from 20 November 2025. The announcement was issued this week through the airline’s management, confirming that all reservation offices across the country, including counters at King Mswati the Third International Airport and Matsapha Airport, will switch fully to digital payment systems.
The airline said the move is meant to improve safety for staff and customers while speeding up services. Travellers will now be required to use electronic fund transfers, bank cards or mobile money when purchasing tickets or paying for related services.
Eswatini Air stated that the shift forms part of broader efforts to modernise its operations and reduce risks associated with handling physical cash. The company has urged customers to prepare for the change ahead of the implementation date.
Reservations and customer enquiries may still be made through the airline’s official channels, including its website and call centre.
