Lagos, Nigeria – On Friday 31 October 2025, Honourable Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Manqoba Khumalo, led a delegation of Members of Parliament from the ministry’s House of Assembly Portfolio Committee to the Lekki Free Trade Zone, one of Nigeria’s most successful Special Economic Zones.
The visit aims to benchmark best practices for establishing and managing industrial free zones, with a focus on strengthening Eswatini’s public–private partnerships in industrial development. The delegation is hosted by Kellogg Tolaram, a key investor in Eswatini that employs over 20,000 people across its Nigerian facilities, making it the country’s third-largest private employer after the government and the Dangote Group.

In Eswatini, Kellogg Tolaram owns the Lush Hair factory in Ngwenya, employing 700 emaSwati, and the Sibebe noodle plant in Matsapha, employing 300 workers. The company outlined expansion plans during the Eswatini Investment Conference in May, projecting the creation of 10,000 new jobs in the SADC region.
The delegation includes the Chairperson of the House of Assembly Portfolio Committee, Masiphula Mamba, along with Members of Parliament Honourable Wilton Nkambule, Ndumiso Gadlela, and Sibongile Mam. The visit is expected to provide insights to support industrial growth and investment strategies back home in Eswatini.
