MBABANE – Mbabane Highlanders captain Sphamandla Maseko has called on supporters to turn out in large numbers and back the team as they face Manzini Wanderers at Mavuso Sports Centre this Sunday.
Speaking through Eswatini Soccer Magazine, Maseko assured fans that the players are prepared to give their all and fight for a positive result.
“I want to promise Highlanders fans that we will put in our effort and deliver a good performance,” said Maseko. “We also promise to come back with positive results. Please come and support us.”
The captain said the team is focused on maintaining consistency and meeting the expectations of one of Eswatini’s most decorated football clubs. “Mbabane Highlanders is a big team and should always deliver good results. We haven’t achieved it yet, but more wins are coming,” he added.
Maseko also asked fans to create a vibrant but disciplined atmosphere in the stands. He encouraged supporters to wear official team jerseys or colours to show pride and support. “Please behave yourselves, wear the team replicas, and if you don’t own any, come wearing the team colours,” he said.
The weekend fixture against Manzini Wanderers, known for its intense rivalry, is expected to attract a large crowd. Highlanders hope to turn Maseko’s call into action and secure a crucial win for their supporters.
