Gaborone – President Duma Gideon Boko will travel to Muscat in Oman, Ras Al Khaimah and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, and Geneva, Switzerland, from 19 to 29 October 2025 to strengthen investment partnerships and attract strategic economic opportunities.
During his visits to Oman and the UAE from 19 to 25 October, President Boko will engage with the Oman Investment Authority, private investors, and other institutions. Discussions will focus on investment opportunities in financial services, minerals, infrastructure, and agriculture, aiming to boost government-to-government and business-to-business collaborations that support economic diversification and job creation in Botswana.
From 25 to 29 October, President Boko will hold meetings in Switzerland with international CEOs, entrepreneurs, and investors to explore partnerships in financial services, infrastructure, energy, and telecommunications.
Senior government officials will accompany the President on the tour, and Vice President Ndaba Nkosinathi Gaolathe will serve as Acting President in his absence.
