Mbabane – The journey to one of Africa’s largest multicultural gatherings has officially begun with the launch of specially discounted tickets for MTN Bushfire 2026, exclusively available to Eswatini Fire Starters through MTN Mobile Money (MoMo).

According to Festival Director Jiggs Thorne, ticket sales go live today from 10 a.m., marking the first step toward yet another memorable celebration of creativity, unity, and sustainability.

“Staged every year at House On Fire in the peaceful Malkerns Valley, this proudly Swati, authentically African, and globally infused festival of music, arts, and culture will return for its 19th edition from May 29–31, 2026,” said Thorne.

He explained that ticket sales will commence with early bird tickets for the Full Festival Golden Lounge, Main Arena, and Children’s categories via the official MTN Bushfire website – www.bush-fire.com.

“This annual special ticket rate, reserved for Eswatini residents, is the result of MTN Eswatini and Bushfire’s shared commitment to making the festival accessible to locals,” Thorne stated. “These tickets will be sold through MoMo Marketplace to residents of Eswatini who have a valid Mobile Money account.”

To purchase the discounted tickets, Thorne advised festival-goers to WhatsApp ‘Hi’ to 7808 4000 (MoMo Marketplace), select the ticket option, and follow the prompts to secure their place at the festival.

Tickets can be downloaded directly to mobile phones, allowing festival-goers to use the e-ticket on their device for entry. Additionally, tickets will also be emailed to buyers as a backup.

Thorne reminded the public that MTN Bushfire tickets have sold out for 13 consecutive years, urging fans to act fast to secure their passes to the family-friendly celebration of unity in diversity and social inclusion.

“Online ticket sales will commence with a limited number of discounted early bird tickets for full festival Golden Lounge, Main Arena and Children’s tickets through the MTN Bushfire website,” he reiterated. “Festival-goers can also pre-load their tickets with top-up funds upon purchase.”

Payment options for online tickets include credit card, EFT, and, within Eswatini, MTN MoMo.

Thorne further encouraged the public to plan early for their Bushfire experience and to secure camping tickets for the official MTN Bushfire Campsite, managed by All Out Africa.

“Visit the ‘Plan’ page of the website for detailed information on camping options,” he said. “Camping tickets are available on the official festival ticketing platform. For those seeking a glamour-camping (Glamping) experience, contact details for Harambee Hotel and Rush Adventures can also be found on the website.”
