MBABANE — South African Afro-soul star Aubrey Qwana is set to headline this year’s Umuthi Fest, taking place on October 18 at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre.
The award-winning singer and songwriter, best known for his emotional hit “Molo Mhlobo Wami”, joins a rich lineup of artists who will bring together a fusion of Afro-soul, House, Maskandi, Gospel, and other contemporary African sounds.
Organisers of Umuthi Fest have described the event as a cultural celebration aimed at showcasing the depth and diversity of African music. The 2025 edition will feature some of the region’s top performers, including Blaq Diamond, Big Zulu, Mlindo the Vocalist, Kwesta, and Naledi Aphiwe. Local artists are also on the bill, promising a vibrant atmosphere for fans across Eswatini and beyond.
Qwana, whose music draws from Maskandi, mbaqanga, hip-hop, and R&B influences, has become a household name across southern Africa for his unique storytelling and soulful delivery. His performance is expected to create a powerful connection between the audience and the heritage his music represents.
This year’s festival will also feature upgraded stage design, enhanced production, and immersive visuals to elevate the experience for attendees.
Tickets are available at Computicket outlets and online platforms. Early bird prices are set at E150 for general access and E400 for VIP, while presale tickets cost E200 and E500 respectively.
